Having visible, passionate leadership that can articulate the brand promise and infuse an understanding of that brand promise throughout the organization. Get that right, and you find that a lot of behaviors in the organization start to line up behind it.
- Guiding Business Principles - Are you leading towards a big idea? Have you stated your beliefs so succinctly as to help your team in day-to-day decisions that drive your engine for profitable growth?
Market Clarity
Pick a market and commit to it. Be known for doing something (not everything, but something) better than anyone else and the market will start to recognize you for that. Be very clear in your own mind about why you should own that market space and go after it fiercely.
- Vision and Mission Development - What compelling promise is your team reaching to deliver, and how fiercely are they going after it? Is your team passionately building an engine for profitable growth?
Cultural Alignment
Infuse a belief in brand so your employees can support your business. Customer service, product development, physical facility, invoicing, etc. These are the small moments of truth that can validate your brand or destroy it.
- Employee and Business Partner Feedback - How do their behaviors and actions affect your customer and your operation? How are you involving them in developing profitable growth?
